You can of course use F4 for switching to the same Erase mode, but you then will have to press F2 to go back to Color mode. This is the fastest and the most organic way to use any brush as eraser.
Releasing the right-click will turn it back into the previous mode. If you are using any brush or tool, pressing the RIGHT-CLICK (on a stylus pen it's usually the side switch) will switch this same brush to Eraser mode as long as it's pressed. There is not really a dedicated Eraser tool, as in other software, but rather it's just a function of any drawing tool.ġ. Overall, for a short music video, raster was definitely the right choice but I wouldn't want to see a 2-hour movie done with the same style.This is super easy as TVPaint is very flexible and can be achieved in several ways depending on the result you want. The quick tempo of the animation strains eyes as everything needs to be scanned quickly so I am glad the video was short However, the quick scene changing is a necessity or else the lack of detail would have bothered if given a chance to inspect them. Overall, raster felt like "I am here! Now I am not!" as the scenes change back and forth. Color wise, you see a lot of contrasting colors. Like, the faces, motions are fast and long to give an idea what the motion is about.
The raster (Due young) animation was exactly opposite: Flashy, snappy, fast, less details, faces overly expressive (stretched faces) else you wouldn't have any idea what they are trying to express because the scenes change so fast.
It's what I'd expect to see in good animated movies It's a sustainable format, albeit somewhat boring to watch but it conveys its message well and accurately. Based on the two videos VGmaster posted in the OP, I'd say that vector animation (The MLP fanfilm) is a lot more controlled, chilly, detailed and slow, forcing the audience to pay attention to details.
